FYI: Google Alert - human rights & Being Humane

Hola All Humane Rights Agenda Members ~ Check out these Alerts for Human Rights, track them down and amplify them if you are moved to do so. Humane rights is a large vast field of endeavor as it involves a multitude of important issues.

I use the specific term 'humane' because it emphasizes the humaneness of being a human being, that is, one who has care, concern and compassion for others in life.
Main Entry: hu·mane
Pronunciation: hyü-'mAn, yü-
Function: adjective
Etymology: Middle English humain
1 : marked by compassion, sympathy, or consideration for
humans or animals
2 : characterized by or tending to broad
humanistic culture : HUMANISTIC <humane studies>
- hu·mane·ly adverb
- hu·mane·ness
/-'mAn-n&s/ noun
Us making the distinction of being a humane being is key.
It is not merely a semantic spin. Otherwise, a human being could be a mere two-legged meat-eating animal.
I am a conscious humane being and it takes a certain level of consciousness and conscientiousness to be truly humane.

Sometimes it is not easy to be humane towards some fools and it is not always automatic, especially when we come across mean evil ones who we should remember were all first born innocent and ignorant, including Puppet-Fuhrer Bush!.
I myself have character defects, shortcomings and flaws that I myself work on daily in order to be a better humane being in all my relations, in all my interactions, in all my prayers and in all my communications.
There are many kinds of agenda: political agendas, personal agendas, business agendas and sinister hidden agendas.
The concept of having a humane rights agenda as an online group is to help create a basic common agenda so that we can all have a common denominator for communicating with each other on the basis of standing up for humane rights for all people.
Sometimes people post Messages onto this group that may not even have a direct bearing on human rights, sometimes we get would be entrepreneurs, an occasional sex-ad or other off-the-wall posts. Sometimes I appreciate a light-hearted post that brings levity to a thread, but the group goes on and have been going on since BEFORE 911.
As the Group Owner/Moderator I make a conscious effort not
to be a control freak about postings. Thus, this is as a rule an unmoderated group. I stand up for our sacred right to freedom of speech and freedom of creative expression in general. Even if we disagree on some issues or have come to different conclusions on some subjects we should still try to reach out to each other with respect, come together and reason together.
The ideal and group topic is for us to share our real concerns about humane rights in this wicked world and expose violations of humane rights wherever they occur in the world.
An injustice to one is an injustice to all and no one is truly free until we are all free: free to breathe, free to live, free to work, free to create and free to exercise all our God-given humane rights.
Today there are many kinds of stuggling movements for humane rights: civil rights, immigrant rights, prisoner rights,
gay rights, children rights, animal rights and other struggles for other kinds of particular rights. Each of us can have a particular area of concern, each of us has our measure of faith, each of us has our own level of commitment to change the world. Variety is the spice of life!
Mathama Gandhi knew we should be the change we seek in the world and that means to me that much of the change has to take place within us, then, we can help change others who want to change for the better, who want to progress in their spiritual growth as humane beings, but ultimately change is a personal experience of inner revelation. No one else can work out for you.
In this group and others, we post news articles, stories and analyses on humane rights in general, sometimes we offer our own analyses and at times we may post an off-topic message.
In my life, I try to walk the talk, integrate theory with practice and practice what I preach. I do not always succeed in my efforts, but I never give up and I never stop trying to improve myself. Thus, I have an online life, an offline life and a inline life to help me keep my balance in the mind-body-soul trinity.,
My main Ministry is working with homeless addicts with a Christian recovery group called CASA for Christians Against Substance Addiction. We meet on Sundays at the Salvation Army and holds workshops at the Downtown Christian Science Reading Room on Friday afternoon.
Being into progressive recovery helps keep me aware of the motivations of others and helps me spot the hang-ups in myself and others that most folks do not even notice. It has helped my Spiritual Growth as it sharpens my perception..
Our political leanings in this group range from conservative, to liberal, to radical and then some lean in whatever direction the the wind blows. For me, the truth is in the center and no one has a monopoly on truth. Once again, we come together and discuss 'issues in question' on the cosmic basic of upholding humane rights.
Remember there is a related blog for this group and I will dual post certain news articles to this group and onto the group blog. Feel free to post comments onto our blog and let me know if I can help to improve communcation channels for us
in a Private Email.
If you post and it is called for please post a URL or weblink
in order to verify authenticity and provide links for further research.
.
We have two group co-moderators and I have two great cyber friends: Sister Shelita and Brother Bryan. I have met Sister Shelita when she came to visit from Australia with her husband awhile and it was a great day. Someday I hope to meet Brother Bryan. Nonetheless, when you communicate to someone over a long period of time, discuss different subjects, share private concerns and just share stuff you do really get to know that person pretty well. Sometimes by what we omit than what we just say when we read between the lines and see inside the spaces.
When I get the time I edit membership so that a Group Member is going to at least get Special Messages, though I rarely issue a Special Message. I think I have done so twice in these past years. We will keep this Group going come what may and I pray for the health of all of you.
Remember: there are related groups to the Humane-Rights-Agenda Group, including the Immigrant-Rights Agenda Group, Third-World-Earth News and Talking Circle. In Talking-Circle some of us will dual-post Messages, discuss stuff more and carry on.
I support anyone re-posting or forwarding Messages from our Group to any other group, individual or organization. My motto is: sharing is caring!
Remember at our group home page each Message has its own exact URL or weblink.
Plus, feel free to go to the Humane-Rights-Agenda Blog and Post Comments therein. If you want to start your own group or your own blog then feel free to Email me in a Private Email. Let us try not to have a bunch of one liners in an Email and why not write your own article about humane rights?
.
Remember: We are all human beings, but it takes a conscious concentration to be a humane being.
Be loving and kind to one another. Be honest, be humble and above all be humane!
Blessings and Prayers ~
