Comment: Try to have the patience to at least hear this video out. I myself do not consider myself a communist ~ to me it would entail the creation of a classless society, that is, one without economic classes which I find to be impossible with the present high-tech specialized nature of modern society. We will find that many of our real obstacles are within us in terms of our own gross character defects: false pride, selfish greed, lazy sloth, lust etc.

Today's class society is in essence one divided between the 'haves' and the 'have-nots'. I see the merits of global democratic socialism and certainly condemn the evils of corporate capitalism, though I do not label myself a communist per se. Nevertheless, this speech brought out some key facts and elements. Remember: Fuhrer Bush is not longer the Prez so you can get over any remnants of paranoism.

All advanced thinkers, humane beings and progressive activists need to look at the dynamics of the new global situation with new eyes not filtered by divisive dogma. Keep an open mind, like a an open mouth, it does not get fed if it is closed!

This Saturday, March 21, Sam Webb, the national chairperson of the Communist Party USA, delivered a speech titled, "Out of the crisis: Building a new era of justice and peace." The speech was streamed live via the web right here on our website www.cpusa.org. You can watch it above.
